SUMMARY:The Maid and the Socialite
DESCRIPTION:Lynda Drews discusses her book\, “The Maid and the Socialite” \nLynda and her husband Jim purchased their Green Bay Astor Neighborhood home in 1977. Soon after\, she discovered that one of her home’s owners had been Attorney Victor I. Minahan\, a member of a brilliant family that dominated Green Bay’s professional\, business\, political\, and social arenas for over 60 years—yet no full-length book had ever been written about the Minahans. When Lynda began to tackle that endeavor in 2017\, she discovered the maid and the socialite’s stories\, and the book Lynda planned to write took a dramatic turn. Lynda’s talk will highlight that research journey to uncover these brave women’s stories.
