Annual Meeting and Dinner Program

September 16 @ 5:30 pm8:00 pm

Our annual meeting and dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept 16 at the Great Hall located at the 2nd floor of the Kress Pavillon. $30 for members.  Doors open at 5:30 pm.  Dinner at 6:00 pm.  Meeting at 6:30.  Chambers Island’s Ghost Ship Program to follow.

Program Details: Most of Door County and her visitors have an interest in what happens and what happened out on its surrounding waters.  Nautical history can be intriguing and “The Mystery Ship, Chambers Island’s Ghost Ship” is one of those stories, a true historical happening that had “deep” The Alvin Clark under full sail in the waters of Green Bay.  Egg Harbor connections and surrounding areas Photo is a facsimile of the Alvin Clark off of Chambers Island in 1864 was finally brought to surface in 1969. The program will take you back in history, back to 1864 and more recently 1969. You don’t want to miss this bit of history, it made mention nationally. The waters surrounding Door County contain more than 240 to 270 known and confirmed shipwrecks.
